Some might be ok with more than one pet in the apartment, while others are not. 3) Can I have more than one pet?Īgain, this is up to each landlord. This immediately limits most of the bigger size dogs from the commonly banned list above. Usually, renters are met with a weight limit of 20 – 50 pounds. There are of course other breeds that other landlords might frown upon or that do well in apartments. Alongside being aware of certain dog breeds that are commonly banned from apartment buildings, another obstacle is weight restrictions. These are just some dogs that are mentioned as being a good fit for apartments and vice versa. The dogs listed to the right are dog breeds that are commonly banned from apartment buildings based on reputation, size, and personality. According to the American Kennel Club, the dogs listed to the left are the dogs that are best suited for apartment living, based on reputation, size, and personality. Some dogs do well in apartments, others need more space than for example a studio or 1 bedroom apartment. The same research should be implemented toward what dogs are best for what kind of apartments. Getting a dog that requires a lot of exercise wouldn’t be the best fit for a household that is minimally active. First of all, before getting a dog, it is recommended that future pet owners do thorough research into the breed that would best fit their lifestyle. When it comes to breed and weight restrictions, this usually applies more to dogs than cats. 2) What breed and weight restrictions apply? In the lease, there should be a pet clause confirming which animals are allowed, the number of pets allowed, and any other circumstances around the pet. An apartment building or landlord will be more reluctant to accept animals that can be a liability to their property. For example, you would probably think the “no pets” policy wouldn’t apply to fish as they don’t take up too much space nor can they be considered noise disturbance. While a single fish in a small fish bowl probably won’t be a problem, a large fish tank might be frowned upon. It should be specified in your lease what kind of pet is allowed and not. But how strict is that and what animals does it apply to? That depends on the apartment building and the landlord. We know “no pets allowed” means no pets in the apartment building. Part One: Breaking Down the Requirements *** 1) What kind of pet can I have in an apartment? Look for independent landlords especially if you are looking to get a dog from the commonly banned dog breed list. This will lower rent and you’ll most likely find more landlords willing to accept different breeds and sizes. Expanding your search as a longer commute opens up more possibilities.Make your pet look good through recommendations from previous landlords and documentations that show your pet is healthy. Recommendations, documentations, and pet resumes.Opting for the smaller size pet to work with the weight restrictions.Finding an apartment that allows pets, or specific breeds can be a difficult and daunting task, and always easier if you’re opting for the option of buying over renting.īased on our key findings, we find the following four recommendations helpful, especially if you’re considering getting a pet in a big city: Some common reasons for the restrictions might be because pets can cause property damage, other tenants can file noise complains, and it can lower the overall value of the building. Not only do most big cities not offer a big backyard for the pet to explore when you’re at work, but pet owners can also be met with restrictions when renting apartments, such as no pets allowed, weight restrictions, and breed restrictions. Adding a pet to the equation when living in a big metropolitan area, makes it even more of a responsibility. According to ASPCA (2015-2016), approximately 44% of all households in the US have a dog and 35% have a cat.

Once you know about the quadrants in the coordinate plane, you can determine the quadrant of an ordered pair without even graphing it by looking at the chart above. Starting from the origin, go along the x-axis in a positive direction (right) and along the y-axis in a negative direction (down). Starting from the origin, go along the x-axis in a negative direction (left) and along the y-axis in a negative direction (down). Starting from the origin, go along the x-axis in a negative direction (left) and along the y-axis in a positive direction (up). The first quadrant is the upper right-hand corner of the graph, the section where both x and y are positive. The quadrants on a graph are the 4 parts of a 2D plane, labeled I (top right), II (top left), III (bottom left), IV (bottom right). Starting from the origin, go along the x-axis in a positive direction (right) and along the y-axis in a positive direction (up). This graph is divided into four quadrants, or sections, based on those values. They also follow a pattern, which is outlined in the table below. Each of the four sections has a specific combination of negative and positive values for x and y. Within each quadrant, the signs of the x-coordinates and y-coordinates of each ordered pair are the same. A graph quadrant is one of four sections on a Cartesian plane. Identify quadrants and use them to plot points.Plotting Points on the Coordinate Plane. The purpose of the quadrant chart is to group values into distinct categories based on your criteriafor instance, in PEST or SWOT analysis. Steps for Plotting an Ordered Pair (x, y) in the Coordinate Plane In its essence, a quadrant chart is a scatter plot with the background split into four equal sections (quadrants).Plotting Points in the Coordinate Plane.1st Quadrant: The upper right-hand corner of the graph is the first quadrant. Four Quadrants in Coordinate Plane Well, the graph is divided into sections or four quadrants, based on those values. Describe the point shown as an ordered pair A quadrant is simply defined as the region of a cartesian plane formed when the x-axis and y-axis intersect each other. The foundation of remote work was to give people the freedom and flexibility to operate in a manner that’s most productive for them. While that was (and to an extent still is) the sentiment, it doesn’t have to be. “There is a general sense that we never stop being in front of Zoom or interacting,” says Raffaella Sadun, professor of business administration in the HBS Strategy Unit. An analysis of the emails and meetings of 3.1 million people in 16 global cities established that the average workday went up by 8.2 percent during the pandemic’s early weeks as employees participated in more meetings. A recent study with more than three million people confirmed a feeling that’s not new: everyone’s swamped and tired. But burning zombies drop better pickups and act as a score multiplier – light ‘em up, score big, and have fun. Burn, batter, shoot, maim, blow up, mince, and obliterate as many zombies as possible before they make Bruce their dinner…įlaming zombies are faster and more dangerous than regular uncooked zombies. Fortunately our mild-mannered hero Bruce can get hold of some tasty weaponry. Standing (well, ambling) in your way is a never ending horde of the rotting, stinking and stupid undead. The goals are simple: keep Bruce alive, as he tries to keep Daisy alive, and get the highest score possible. But it’s almost as if Doublesix has created an ambitious zombie apocalypse survival game and then cut it down to fit inside a shoebox.Welcome to the char-grilled world of Burn Zombie Burn, where the best type of undead is barbequed undead. I guess there’s no reason to expect anything much bigger than, say, Costume Quest. Suddenly it’s over and you’re left to grind if you’re so inclined. The developer for Burn Zombie Burn, doublesix, has passed around a short video showing off some of the multiplayer (and single player) in a rapid fashion. Just because it’s got the same playful look as Lucasarts’ classic Zombies Ate My Neighbors doesn’t mean it’s not serious stuff!īut in the end, it feels disappointingly slight, partly for the writing, partly for all the repetition, partly for the weirdly useless local multiplayer, and mostly for the smallness of it, hemmed in as it is by doors for the inevitable DLC. These are classic zombie survival situations, powered by great level design, a spread of useful weapons, and more zombies that you can shake a burning stick at. Its more fun to have undead run around burning but you can turn. These situations give developer Doublesix’s smart twin-stick shooter gameplay context beyond “get a high score”. Keep on for more dramatic visuals but can slow your game down a bit. Or you’re just doing a quick massacre to get your characters to the next level. Or you’re trapped in the mall where you went to find a boom box to make a sonic katana, but now you can’t get out until you kill 15 zombified SWAT officers. Maybe you’re venturing out to the bridge with a flamethrower to collect a barrel of toxic waste so you can build a sludge gun. The action really comes alive when you’re trying to accomplish mini-objectives to travel somewhere, or to build something, or both. You basically harvest zombies by electrifying, irradiating, deafening, and - of course - burning them to make them drop what you need. Whereas Burn Zombie Burn was based on setting zombies on fire for a score multiplier, All Zombies Must Die is based on using elemental effects that tie into a loot drop system. Pointing and laughing as if you meant to do that doesn’t help.īut at its core, All Zombies Must Die is basically the same smart twin-stick shooter as Burn Zombies Burn, but this time with a modest RPG system where an open-ended play-forever high-score system used to be. Ignited zombies act as a score multiplier, so you want to torch as many of the undead douchbags as possible, then shoot, smack or slice them up before they burn. The better approach is to make it less awful in the first place or, failing that, hope no one notices. Pointing out that something is awful doesn’t make it less awful. It’s also got some truly awful writing that thinks it’s funny that it’s truly awful. It’s got no shortage of grinding small areas when you’re in that stretch between the first and last impressions. But unlike the similarly misguided Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone, this one from the developers of Burn Zombie Burn has its gameplay smarts still intact.Īll Zombies Must Die makes a terrible first impression. All Zombies Must Die is the other sequel to a very good twin-stick shooter about killing zombies that jumps genres and aggressively shoves bad writing in your face. Luckily we have a great guy called Swiss Halberdier, who gives up a lot of time and resources to these forums and creates and manages the "Unit Pack Compatibility Project or (UPC)" What this does is amalgamate all new ".loc" files that modders create with their work, and puts them all in one big ".loc" file, so that we as users can use what ever mods we want and get the descriptions. Hope this helps you and others to explain the UPC betterThanks a lot for this excellent clarification That was really helpful! Hope this helps you and others to explain the UPC better It is one ".loc" to rule them all!! So my advise to you is simple, use the UPC and DO NOT use the locs that come with the mods unless they are not covered by the UPC. you can not have more than one ".loc" file at a time, so we have a problem. If you drop another unit mod into the game, you need the ".loc" file for that one as well, but wait. So if you add one new mod to the game, and it has a new unit, the author must also create a new ".loc" file for you to use. Skins replace existing ones in game, only mods that have new created units need text files or description. If you create/add a mod into the game that involves new units, you must make a new ".loc" file to use that mod or no langauge or text will appear. The game Empire TW uses a ".loc" or "localization" type file for its texts or langauge. The German UPC 2.2 file contains the descriptions and unit names of these mods: > This major mod will be updated to a newer version in the next version: TAR 2.0 - The American Revolution (ToonTW + Hip63) - upcoming MAJOR MOD COMPATIBILITY of the English UPC: Ashu-Siralis' Mughal Unit (Last of the Great Horse Armies) mod Megasalexandros' Preussens Gloria v 1.2 SonOfOdin/EB999's "Knights of Malta" (unit names) Ashu-Siralis "Mughal mod - Last of the Great Horse Armies" md1453's "US Pioneer Raiders+Militia, Kentucky Mounted Riflemen, US Rifles units, Legion of US squares" Okmin's "Sikh mod 1.1" (submod for Darthmod)" Geronimo2006's "Denmark Startpos description entry" Geronimo2006's "Portugese Startpos description entry" Geronimo2006's "Portugese Units Pack 1.7.2" Bethencourt's "The Rebellion's Shipyard" Wolfgang von Zweibrücken's "Marines Mod 1.1b" Preussen Gloria's "Das Österreichische Heer 1.2" General Cornwallis "British Scarlet Dawn" General Cornwallis "French Warcry of the Republic" General Cornwallis "Prussian Rise of the Black Eagle" KTKG Units Mod 1.0 (Sir Digby Caesar + Ahiga) Jarnomiedema's "United Provinces Full Mod 1.1" Kungfuserge's "Pirated Mod Reloaded/Custer" The Great Spirit - Native American Addition Mod 1.2 or Sons of the Dannebrog v0.5 (these mods can not be used together at present) ToonTotalWar's "Continental, British, Hessian, Spanish, French and Indian Armies" Danova's "Ornamentum 1.1 + 1.2 + 1.3 + 1.4 + Northern War - Poltava" contains the complete final localization of the last patch and all DLCs for Empire " It is better to see at least an English text, as there would be otherwise just a blank text." There is a little rule in the UPC history. Please note that not all mods in each language are translated, but all custom entries are included in English and you can see at least English texts. It contains only the custom texts of the included mods. The UPC doesn't contain any mods and you must download the mods from the related sites. You can switch your language in the Steam options of Empire. Then you can see all custom unit names, descriptions and other texts from the included mods. Therefore this mod aims to create an universal localisation.loc file that can be used to make as many mods as possible compatible. Mods are not compatible if they all include an own language file which contains the file localisation.loc. Without the UPC you can not see these custom unit names, descriptions and other texts. Most of these texts are from Unit Pack Mods, Gameplay Mods and Overhaul Mods. The UPC project is necessary for all languages except English, because of added custom texts to the game by modders. |
